Michigan cornerback Will Johnson's slide in the NFL draft stopped with the Arizona Cardinals in the second round Friday.
Arizona took Johnson, once a projected first-round pick, with the 47th selection despite a knee injury that apparently concerned teams enough not to pick him in Thursday's opening round.
Johnson played in just six games in 2024 because of a turf toe injury. He didn't participate in drills at the NFL scouting combine, and a hamstring injury prevented him from participating in Michigan's pro day.
Johnson held a private workout for teams 11 days ago but did not run the 40-yard dash.
Johnson, who finished as the No. 10 prospect on ESPN's consensus predraft board, could immediately compete for one of the Cardinals' starting corner jobs.
