Photos: Candiace Dillard Bassett Cradles Baby Bump on Red Carpet

Candiace Dillard Bassett has no problem showing off her pregnancy. On April 15, The Real Housewives of Potomac star announced that she was about 13 weeks along.

“It’s been weird, but also really wonderful,” she told news outlets, “to keep it kind of to ourselves to this point.” Of course, Candiace knew she’d be taking the lid off of privacy with the announcement. Still, she doesn’t appear to mind the world knowing at this point.

In her interviews around the pregnancy, Candiace communicated great excitement over several parenting milestones. “I’m excited to just support them … in whatever they want to do,” she shared. Now, it seems her excitement has only grown.

Candiace stuns at the Grammys on the Hill Awards

On May 1, Candiace attended the Grammys on the Hill Awards in Washington D.C. Not only was Candiace in attendance, but she was also hosting the event. She made quite the appearance on the red carpet, posing in her red dress. The dress was a stunning Hervé Léger off-the-shoulder. Candiace’s ensemble also featured an asymmetrical strap and an arm-length glove only on the left side.

Of course, more prominent and more important than the dress was Candiace’s growing baby bump. She cradled her future child in both hands as she smiled proudly at each camera. Later that night, Candiace shared some of the evening’s photos on her Instagram.

“Busy day today on Capitol Hill with my colleagues at the @recordingacademy for #GrammysontheHill,” Candiace wrote in her caption. “But I just had to reminisce about the TIME that was had last night hosting at the annual GRAMMYs on the Hill Awards.” She thanked the Academy and Advocacy team for their “tireless work on behalf of music creators.”
