As the real drama continues on Summer House Season 8 between former couple Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke, Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover are still treading water. Neither has relocated to the other’s state of residency. And the Southern Charm star’s previous timeline of engagement by the end of 2023 is now obsolete.

So where do the couple stand as Season 8 draws to a close? They are a couple in real-time, but have either party made concessions so that they can move forward?

Paige admitted that she threw “a lot of things at” Craig

Fans got a sneak peek of Season 8, Episode 11, during which Paige and Craig had a conversation about their relationship.

The duo enjoyed a riverside champagne picnic. The conversation turned serious as the fashion contributor spoke in appreciation of Craig’s patience towards her.

“Sometimes I don’t feel like I show that I appreciate you enough and that I love you because I feel like I also throw a lot of things at you. Last year I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t want to get engaged yet. I don’t want to move.’ Some guys would be like ‘Okay, see ya.’ You kind of roll with whatever I throw at you,” Paige shared.

Craig acknowledged that the situation is not “easy” and responded with a timeline on when he’d like to have children.

Craig has a new timeline regarding fatherhood

“I would say that, recently, you know, with my business taking off and you talking about looking for new apartments, sometimes in my head I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m cool with this whole let’s wait a little bit to get married thing.’ But there are also some benefits to not waiting too long,” the Sewing Down South founder said. “I’m 35. I would like to have my first child by 40. I would start to have some resentment if I didn’t.”

The Bravolebrity wouldn’t be excited about looking for love again at 40. And Craig would rather not be strung along.

“I’d be like, ‘Now I’m 40 years old and now I have to go, like, fall in love again and find a partner. You knew it, Craig. You knew it and your gut told you,'” he explained.

Meanwhile, Paige is still resistant to the idea of relocating and having children. And more so to engagement and marriage. After Craig asked her her plans, she responded, “I’m not even in a place yet to even pick where I would potentially want to live and raise children. These are all questions that I have no idea the answer to, but I know it’s with you.”

Paige doesn’t know what her “next step is”

Paige spoke openly in a confessional interview. She told producers, “I feel like Craig so knows what the next step in his life is and for the first time in my life. I don’t know what my next step is. Being married and being a mother, I’m not ready for that yet. So I’m putting a bandaid on things because I don’t want to deal with it until I can figure out what the f-ck is going on in my life.”

“The only thing that ever gets to me is, like, sometimes I don’t know if you like me or not, which might seem crazy to you,” Craig said during their picnic.

“Do you wake up every day and say, does she hate me or not?” Paige responded with a laugh.

Then, in a change of tone, she insisted that she was “fully invested” despite not wanting to budge on any of the issues they discussed.

“I don’t want you to ever think that because it’s taking me a little bit longer it’s something you’re doing. I’m fully invested,” she shared. “Do you think I’m going to let you go now that you grew your hair out and you’re dressed like Jordan Belfort?”

The duo are still committed to each other and use their star power as a couple on various endorsements. At least the relationship is lucrative for now.
